What did you learn from playing college football?
Caldwell Companies plans to develop 15 acres of property at the northwest corner of FM 1960 and Highway 290 in Cypress for a dense mixed-use development, CEO Fred Caldwell told the Houston Business Journal. Plans are still in their infancy, but the project, which is being developed for an undisclosed amount and will be called Cypress Crossing, will include a multifamily project with approximately 250 units, a full-service hotel, 460,000-square-feet of office space and 50,000-square-feet of retail space.
Towne Lake earned a spot on a ranking of the nation's top 20 selling master planned communities based on sales in the first half of 2014, according to a report by real estate market research firm RCLCO. Caldwell Communities announced today that Ashton Woods will bring its nationally known, high quality homes to Towne Lake. Beginning next spring, Ashton Woods will build patio homes and townhomes in Lakeway Shores, a new section of the community that features 157 home sites – 27 of which are located on the waterfront.
Towne Lake, Caldwell Companies’ northwest Houston community connected by water, hosted its sixth annual Fourth of July celebration, drawing a crowd of more than 8,000 people. The popular event featured traditional Fourth of July festivities, including food, children’s activities, and an evening of fun that culminated in northwest Houston’s largest fireworks show. Family-friendly entertainment included magicians, balloon artists, face painters, inflatable bounce houses and train rides. New festivities included a resident boat parade with boats lit in patriotic colors.
