Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced and highly capable Superintendent to lead our construction projects. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating various construction activities, ensuring the successful completion of projects within established timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of managing large-scale projects.

Responsibilities

• Project Oversight:
• Provide overall supervision and guidance for multiple construction projects.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
• Collaborate with project managers to develop and execute project plans.
• Team Leadership:
• Lead and manage on-site construction teams, including superintendents, foremen, and field staff.
• Foster a culture of safety, quality, and collaboration.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce safety protocols.
• Quality Assurance:
• Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure construction standards are met.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to monitor work quality and compliance.
• Communication:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including owners, architects, and subcontractors.
• Communicate project progress, challenges, and resolutions to senior management.
• Resource Management:
• Oversee the allocation and management of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
• Ensure efficient use of resources and adjust plans as needed.
• Schedule Management:
• Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring adherence to timelines.
• Coordinate with project managers to address any schedule deviations.
• Problem Resolution:
• Address and resolve construction-related issues promptly and efficiently.
• Proactively identify and mitigate potential challenges during the construction process.
• Vendor and Subcontractor Coordination:
• Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Manage relationships with subcontractors and address any performance issues.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Superintendent or in a similar high-level construction management role.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety protocols.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with construction management software. 

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• OSHA certification.
• Experience with large-scale commercial or residential construction projects.
• Proficient in MS Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, Procore, Bluebeam.
