Construction is moving forward on the Greenhouse Road–US 290 Underpass Project in Cypress. New aerial photos from Q3 2026 show visible progress on the future connection between Greenhouse Road and Skinner Road, with site preparation and major below-grade infrastructure underway near US 290.
Once complete, the six-lane corridor will extend beneath US 290 and the existing rail line, creating a more direct route for area residents and commuters. The project will improve mobility, reduce reliance on Barker Cypress and Fry roads, support more reliable emergency access, and include pedestrian crossings and a 10-foot-wide hike-and-bike trail. This important regional investment will also unlock new commercial opportunities and support continued growth in Towne Lake, Cypress and northwest Harris County.
